ACTS Employment Services Ltd
Assisting people back into employment for 35 years
AESL has developed through Acts Institute of New Zealand which was founded by Ken and Wendy Fraser in 1983 as a Charitable Trust. After a successful business career, Ken was confronted with his own experience of sudden unemployment.
His response was ACTS Institute, an organisation that has now been working with people in all aspects of employment for over 35 years. Over that time as society has changed, so has the nature of courses on offer. But while change has been embraced, consistency in key areas has been maintained therefore AESL continues to provide a way for people to be a step ahead of the rest for employment in the Wellington Region.

"Jordan from AESL was fantastic! She was able to capture and portray my personality perfectly while keeping my CV professional. The help she gave with cover letters very quickly got me call backs, and the interview training really helped me prepare and understand the process. I highly recommend Jordan and the services from AESL!"

“The Warehouse Lower Hutt has had a lot to do over the past year with work experience students from AESL. I have always found the students to be of a high standard and very enthusiastic to be working here, the staff have great communication when it comes to setting their learners up with placements and following up on their progress while in store to help their learners succeed."

“Firstly I want to thank you and AESL for the information and skills I was given through attending the courses. Secondly that without the knowledge I have gained I would not have the confidence I have today to find suitable job opportunities. Thirdly I wanted to tell you that I smashed the interview using the skills you taught me. I contacted the manager before handing in my CV to build rapport, I handed my CV in personally to the manager who interviewed me building a good first impression, I researched the company, I was able to use subtle humour while in the interview, I was able to effectively communicate my weaknesses which in turn the manager was able to reciprocate, and I used effective questioning to gather feedback about her interview, further knowledge about the recruitment process and other opportunities within the company. The highlight of my interview was when I asked for feedback regarding the interview and was advised that if the manager was able to hire me on the spot then she would, however has to follow the process.” Lindsie N
