News USA Today has a long history of not endorsing political candidates. Whether a candidate is running for president or a state or federal political office, the magazine has a policy against it. This policy is reviewed every four years and can only be circumvented by a consensus vote. For this to occur, fewer than two members of the editorial board must dissent from the consensus.
