About us

Though we do still perform traditional operative surgery (ligation and stripping, phlebectomy) for varicose veins, there has been a shift toward less invasive but equally effective vein treatments. Instead of the physical removal of defective veins via skin incisions, modern vein treatments rely on vein closure instead. Closure is acheived by thermal methods such as laser heat (endovenous laser ablation) or radiofrequency (VNUS ClosureFast), by chemicals (endovenous chemical ablation or sclerotherapy), or by combined mechanico-chemical methods (ClariVein).

Dr. Paul Jesus S. Montemayor

He obtained his medical degree from the University of the Philippines and his Vascular Surgery Fellowship from the Yale University School of Medicine/ Yale New Haven Medical Center in New Haven, Connecticut, USA. He was an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center from 1999-2009. He is a Fellow of the Philippine College of Surgeons, a member of the Philippine Society for Vascular Surgery and a member of the Philippine Society for Ultrasound in Surgery.
