Brendan grew up on a farm in Marlborough and is relishing the move back to the 'top of the South' after many years working in the upper North Island. Before that he spent time locuming in various city, village and emergency clinics in the United Kingdom (as well as a stint in Saudi Arabia).
Adam graduated from Edinburgh in 2008 and gained experience in the UK as a small animal vet. In 2011 he completed a 2 year post graduate certificate in small animal surgery which covered advanced surgical techniques. He enjoys surgery and does a lot of orthopaedics.
Adam and his wife Rachel volunteered on a Macaw research project in the Amazon rainforest in South America before emigrating to New Zealand in 2015. They brought their beloved dog, “Mr Brown” to New Zealand with them and love the Nelson lifestyle. When not at work Adam’s main hobby is mountain biking and Adventure racing (he and Brendan won the GodZone 2017 Pursuit race!) so he can often be found in the local hills.
Fleeing the frigid winter of Minnesota in the USA, Carol and her husband first fell in love with New Zealand years ago with just a couple of backpacks on their backs. Now 12 years later with a house (and mortgage) and three kids, the roots have taken hold and they are here to stay! They love the Nelson region and all the great outdoor opportunities it has to offer.
Carol relishes both small animal internal medicine and surgery. "I am thrilled to be part of the team at Victory Vets".
Trudi graduated Veterinary Nursing in 2003, and worked in a mixed animal practice for ten years, leaving to start a family in 2013. She jumped at the chance to join the Victory Vets team in 2015, and is enjoying being back in the veterinary world. She has picked up the ropes here at Victory very quickly to become a valued member of the team.
Outside of work Trudi spends time testing out playgrounds, making sandcastles, and jumping in muddy puddles (only for her toddler's sake of course).
Susanne is one of the friendly faces you'll often get on the front counter or over the phone. She enjoys assisting clients at reception and has a keen interest in dog training and behaviour. She joined the clinic in 2015 whilst completing her Certificate in Veterinary Nursing through Otago Polytech. Outside of the clinic she is a keen cyclist and participates in a number of community theatre productions.
Lindsey has worked in Auckland veterinary practice administration for 23 years. She joined the Victory Vets team in 2018 and is loving the change to a front-of-house role. She enjoys the great relationships she has developed with our clients and working with our dedicated and professional team.
Tahnee grew up in a small rural town on the West Coast, and spent her childhood looking after all creatures, great and small, so "it felt only natural to have a career in vet nursing". She moved to Nelson in 2006 to complete the Certificate in Vet Nursing and then decided to make the big move to the UK. Tahnee settled in Edinburgh working in a great vet clinic and taking every opportunity to explore Europe.
Now back in Nelson Tahnee is an integral part of our team of dedicated nurses.
Linda was born in Iran, and grew up surrounded by animals. Her family moved to New Zealand when she was 9 and settled in sunny Nelson. Linda graduated from Veterinary Nursing in 2002, when she joined the practice. Cat and dog behaviour are a special interest and she runs puppy pre school along with two colleagues. Like all our nurses, Linda is extremely caring and always keeping a close eye on all our in-patients.
Linda loves photography, skiing, and exploring exotic places. At home she has a Burmese cat who keeps her on her toes!
Siobhan is another qualified vet nurse who started with Victory Vets in 2015 and loves the great relationship the clinic has with clients and pets.
Siobhan is a local girl, born and raised in Motueka. After finding a passion for animals she moved to Wellington to study Vet Nursing and completed her certificate in 2014. Siobhan currently has an Indian Ringneck Parrot and three dogs. Outside of the clinic Siobhan enjoys sports, socialising and lapping up the Nelson sun.
After holidaying in Nelson for a number of years, Jacqui decided to move here. "I have always had a love for animals", and so she joined the clinic in 2002, graduating from Veterinary Nursing in 2003. At present she has two cats and an Indian Ringneck parrot. Jacqui loves the variety of being a vet nurse and is often our weekend nurse dealing with all the after-hours emergencies.
Jacqui enjoys watching horror movies, reading, cycling and playing playstation games.

Since graduating in 2007, Jacqui has practised in clinics in Auckland and Northland including the emergency after hours clinic AEC. She has spent time in the United Kingdom in various clinics in London and in the English countryside. Jacqui is passionate about working through those difficult cases to get the best outcome for the client, regardless of their budget. She enjoys ultrasound and x-ray imaging.
She is loving being here in Nelson with husband Brendan and their three young energetic boys! Enjoying the outdoors and doing up their house take up any spare time!
Brendan enjoys getting to know clients and their loved pets. Helping owners get what is best for them and their pet, because everyone's situation is different, is something he appreciates across all aspects of clinical practice.
